About your instructor
Chef Abigail Velasco, was born in Mexico City, and even though she entered the culinary industry at 18, her passion for food started long before. It was in the Oaxaca mountains where she learned so much about food and traditions from her grandpa.
Before moving to Canada, Abigail studied Culinary Arts at the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana, then worked in the Mayan Riviera, Los Cabos, and many more great restaurants in Mexico City. Other than food, Abigail loves her family, mariachis, and Rottweilers.
