Smash Sauce

By Chef Max Straczek

A recipe so tasty, you’ll start using it on much more than burgers…

Why we like it

It’s neither Big Mac Sauce... nor is it Thousand Island Dressing…

This Smash Sauce can be customizable, but trust us, it’s has a balanced flavour profile when it comes to tanginess, creaminess, and just a hint of sweetness.

But that’s not all… Smash Sauce has tons of great uses!

Drop a dollop onto a bun to elevate your homemade burger game, boost your baked potatoes, spice up a sandwich, or take your fries and tenders for a dip.

Also, we hate to disappoint, but this recipe does not require any actual smashing…

Preparation Notes

The pickles in this recipe deliver a nice acidity and texture, while the raw onion provides a strong, yet slightly sweet bite, so make sure to finely dice them both to about the same size before blending them with the other wet ingredients.

If you love this Smash Sauce as much as we do, store it in an airtight container, like a mason jar, for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

Just make sure to give it a good stir before serving.
